Desperation

Good morning. Early this morning I listened to a message from David Platt who is the pastor of The Church at Brook Hills. It dealt with being desperate for the Spirit of God. This was a royal thumping for me, and that is putting it mildly. I realized I am not desperate for the Spirit of God, and therefore I do not pray with a sense of desperation or urgency. He read from 1 Corinthians chapter 2. I challenge you to listen to this message. It truly brought me to tears to realize how much time I have wasted. Praise the Lord for a new day! Praise His name for forgiveness and for allowing me another chance. I pray for the Holiness of Christ and for Him to make me authentic before Him. I pray for Him to make me desperate for the Spirit of God so that I may truly know the Glory of God.

Here is a link to the message - beware, it is not to be taken lightly! It is the one entitled "Desperate Prayer" dated 1/13/08. Just copy and paste this link into your browser.

What a valuable word & awesome spot to camp out with God. Thank you!
